GAME HIGHLIGHTS

LARRY'S RENTALL/TIM HORTON'S TYKE SHARKS:

The St Alfred's Tyke Sharks are heading into the Christmas break with 5 wins and a tie . Our young lads are doing well both on and off the ice . The boys are starting to bond a lot better in the dressing room being more comfortable with one another . The coaching staff has been more than pleased with the effort , and we are starting to see a big improvement in their overall skill and development . A big thank you to all our parents who have shown great support thus far .... and lets stay focused on the importance of getting your player to every practice and game to help them become better players .
I would like to wish all of our families a very Merry Christmas .... and looking forward to working with your kids in the second half of our season .

BAIOCCO CONSTRUCTION/SUN COLLISION NOVICE SHARKS:

WAY TO GO SHARKS!!!!!! A great team effort today resulting in a 3-2 win against the Falcons.  Each and everyone of you are improving every game, you were playing your positions well today and you all skated hard out there!!!!!  Joshua Mosher added two more goals to his stats, as well as Kyla Wood with another great goal!!!!!  Aden Redfearn also played a great game today adding 2 assists to the score sheet!!!!  King Kong Karter wasn't letting anything by today on the defensive line........WAY TO GO KARTER!!!!! We are all so proud of you and so excited to see the Sharks back in action!!  Keep up the great work~!!!

GRANTHAM MEDICAL CENTER/ATOMIC SHARKS:
The Sharks faced a tough game against the Shamrocks, tying the game at 3. Having a short bench tested the teams depth and some players really stepped up to the plate. Goals scored by Pearce Deighton, Noah Wainwright and Josh Asadoorian. Assists by Colton Manuel(2), Pearce Deighton and Zaden Anderson. Player of the game went to Tobin Sarkisian for playing a 2-way game on defence. Great job Sharks!!!

The Sharks rebounded back with a strong game tying the first place Eagles 4-4. Luke Wainwright became the set-up man of the night with 3 assists. Noah Wainwright and Pearce Deighton bagged 2 goals each. Jake Gustyn also had a helper on the 3rd goal. Great job Sharks!

AQUA-DON POOL SERVICE & SUPPLIES/PROMOTIONS PLUS PEEWEE SHARKS:

Finally, back in the win column, with a 5 - 2 victory over the Shamrocks, and it could of been a one team show if it wasn't for the goaltending of the Shamrocks Micheal Marynuk. Shark players came out and moved the puck and used their speed, made some great plays, forcing opposition to their backhand on rushes, controlling and passing the puck to their line mates, and not running around throwing the puck away blind with no clue. This was much better and closer to the way hockey was meant to be played, and players such as Andrew McCall, Alex Payne, and Tyler Summerfield stepping up there game to help the team and play both ends so well. Ryan Moffatt played the best game I've seen of him, the effort this young man puts in is to be admired, but today he played the most demanding position in hockey and proved he has hockey smarts to go with it. So many good things about today's game to be happy about, so let's keep PLAYING.

Sharks get some pay back, after losing 8 - 4 and 6 - 1 to the Falcons, in a spirited game, Sharks came away with a 4 - 2 victory. Captain Owen Waszynski was sprung by a beautiful up ice pass from Dan Lillo which Owen made no mistake on it, and buried the 1st of 2 goals which he scored in the game. 2nd and 3rd lines held up very well allowing only 1 goal between them and worked extremely hard and supplied a little muscle when needed, on top of that, scoring a timely goal by Alex Payne and assisted by Zack Beaudette to tie it at 2. Jack Mikus played his best game and came up with some timely saves and worked hard finding loose pucks which he covered before damage could be done. A great effort and a great win for the Sharks and it gives them their first winning streak of the year and should give them more confidence moving forward.    GO SHARKS GO
